UbuGeoCloud is a geo-centric cloud-based web-server

This project began on December 22, 2011 as an experimental development server. Being cloud-based, the "hardware" configuration can and will change depending on the needs of the project. To date, all instances of this server have been hosted using Amazon Web Services (AWS). For the most part, a micro-instance will be used in order to keep costs as low as possible. If a more powerful system is needed for a particular application, a small or medium instance can be "spun up" in a matter of minutes from a copy of the base micro-instance.

UbuGeoCloud is a development server designed for testing and demonstration purposes. It will host experimental web pages and applications that are often updated, and possibly unstable. This is not a typical production machine, although it mayl occasionally host client projects on a temporary basis.
